Review by hotel critic
The hotel is conveniently located near the Royal Botanic Gardens, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings. We were pleased to find that the room matched the description provided, and the staff was accommodating with last-minute requests. Their kindness truly stood out, especially with my young children in tow. The breakfast was hearty, although the buffet selection was somewhat limited. My kids particularly enjoyed the hoppers, which I can confidently say are some of the best in the country. We faced some challenges with the parking situation. I waited almost two and a half hours to get our car parked, and there was little assistance offered in transporting our luggage. This was inconvenient, especially with young children. While I appreciated the family-friendly aspects like the warm staff and great food, the parking issue needs attention. I recommend the Peradeniya for families looking for a welcoming atmosphere.
